WOBURN, Mass. - Former Boston Bruin Gord Kluzak will bring theleadership lessons he learned during his eight-year run as adefenseman in the National Hockey League to this year's EasCorp andALM First Financial Advisors' Partnership Conference. Kluzak nowworks as an investment professional in private wealth management atGoldman Sachs & Co., but he still does color commentary for theBoston Bruins. His presentation is titled "Leadership in Action:Lessons from the World of Sports." John Ryding, chief marketeconomist and senior managing director for Bear Stearns, will alsospeak on "Forecast for the U.S. Economy and Financial Markets."Before joining Bear Stearns in 1991, he was the senior economist onthe Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Open Market Desk.Previously, he headed up the Bank of England's Economic ForecastingGroup. The Partnership Conference also will include two debates -"Credit Union to Bank Conversions: Who Stands to Benefit?" and"Compensation for Elected Officials: A Sensible Strategy to Attractand Retain Talent or a Risky Shift in Philosophy?"
