HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is inviting all Pennsylvania credit unions to participate in a conference call the Association is sponsoring on April 1 to update CUs on banker attacks and the important need for credit union unity. While the issues the bankers are bringing up vary in different states – small versus large CUs, state-charters against federal charters, community charters against SEG-based or single sponsored CUs – PCUA said "it's clear that bankers intend to interfere in what has traditionally been a credit union regulatory process, without regard to the size of the credit union or the issue. "This is the most important issue to hit Pennsylvania credit unions since the days of H.R. 1151. It's time to unite in order to survive," says PCUA. Participation in the conference call is free of charge. Credit unions interested in participating should contact Denise Maneval at PCUA at (800) 932-0661, ext. 5201, or email [email protected].
