MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. – Liberty has launched a new product to help credit unions evaluate cross-sell opportunities during the new member account opening process. LibertyDirect for Credit Bureaus provides CU member service reps with a credit screen that instantly shows what products a new member qualifies for To participate, CUs only need Internet access and a relationship with one of the big three credit bureaus. LiberyDirect for Credit Bureaus is also integrated with Liberty's convenient LDWeb check-ordering platform. Educational Employees CU has been piloting the program since last September. "In the first 20 days of our pilot project, we offered and accepted some $500,000 of products," said Bruce Barnett, president and CEO of the credit union.
