CLEARWATER, Fla. – Card Services for Credit Unions, the association of credit unions which process their card transactions with Certegy, had more than 9.3 million accounts at the end of 2003 spread among 2,600 credit union members. CSCU also announced that it will be distributing a record $1.7 million patronage dividend from 2003 operations in addition to the $258 million in interchange returned to member credit unions during the year. "2003 was an exceptional year for CSCU," said Robert Hackney, president of CSCU. "We had another year of strong growth in credit union membership and signed a contract extension with our processing partner Certegy, assuring our members will continue to receive high quality processing services." "Most of all," Hackney continued, "the record patronage divided demonstrates CSCU's philosophy of sharing our success with our member credit unions."
