TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Envision Credit union has celebrated its 50th anniversary by giving away a MINI Cooper. Lucky winner Roderick Pigott has been a member since 1976 and was randomly selected from some several thousand entries during the sweepstakes promotion. The Cooper was on display inside the credit union's main branch during the month of January. "We certainly received great participation from our members," said Envision CU President/CEO Ray E. Cromer. "Our goal was simply to focus attention on a small event that took place 50 years ago and has had a positive influence on the lives of so many members. By giving away the car, running television spots, hanging banners and giving gifts to our members, we acknowledge the vision of the 10 original founders." The $178.6 million credit union will continue to honor volunteers, employees and members who have played a part in its 50-year history throughout the year. As for Pigott, his wife Linda who happens to be a 30-year Envision CU member, is the one who will be motoring around town in the MINI.
