In November 2003, two credit unions – Security Service FCU, San Antonio, Texas, and Navy FCU, Vienna, Va. – ranked among the top 30 auto lenders in the U.S. In addition, Citizens Equity First CU was in first place in Peoria County, Ill, with a 24% share of all autos financed in December. Also in December 2003, America First FCU, Riverdale, Utah was the leading auto financer for the entire state – the credit union held a 12% share, almost twice that of the second place lender, Wells Fargo Auto Finance.
