CLATSKANIE, Ore. – Wauna Federal Credit Union CEO Dave Baggett has died at his home in Kelso, Washington. Well known throughout the movement for his marketing savvy, Baggett's credit union career began at St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch Employees CU. As the only person to have been named both CUES Marketer of the Year and CUES Operations Professional of the Year, Baggett moved on to University of Wisconsin CU and Eugene, Oregon-based SELCO CU before becoming Wauna FCU CEO in October, 2002. A memorial service will be held in St. Louis, Missouri on February 14 at 2:00 P.M. at Bonhomme Presbyterian Church. Donations in Dave Baggett's name can be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Emerald Valley, 1545 W 22nd, Eugene OR 97405. A special meeting was held on Tuesday, February 3 to implement the existing succession plan, which places Executive Vice President Bruce Mallory as the acting CEO.
