SAN DIEGO and PLAQUEMINE, La. -At a time when many credit unionCEOs may not know where they stand, some board members and staffershave gone out of their way to reassure their CEOs. Dow LouisianaFederal Credit Union Board members found a creative way to lettheir CEO Jeff Hendrickson know how he is appreciated. During arecent 2004 business planning session, board members sported brightred T-shirts with the words "We Love Our CEO" embroidered acrossthe front. According to the board it was a great way to demonstratenot only to their CEO but also to the entire management team, howmuch they appreciated and supported all that was being done for themembers. Over at San Diego Firefighters Federal Credit Unionstaffers had T-shirts printed with "We love Ed" and wore them onBosses' Day. When CEO Ed Daley came in that morning he quicklynoticed that everyone was wearing a black T-shirt on a non-casualday. "They even had one for me. My T-shirt, which said `I'm Ed' washanging over my chair," said Daley. "It was pretty funny and quitea bit embarrassing but appreciated. To say the least I have a greatstaff."
