SAN DIEGO and PLAQUEMINE, La. -At a time when many credit union CEOs may not know where they stand, some board members and staffers have gone out of their way to reassure their CEOs. Dow Louisiana Federal Credit Union Board members found a creative way to let their CEO Jeff Hendrickson know how he is appreciated. During a recent 2004 business planning session, board members sported bright red T-shirts with the words "We Love Our CEO" embroidered across the front. According to the board it was a great way to demonstrate not only to their CEO but also to the entire management team, how much they appreciated and supported all that was being done for the members. Over at San Diego Firefighters Federal Credit Union staffers had T-shirts printed with "We love Ed" and wore them on Bosses' Day. When CEO Ed Daley came in that morning he quickly noticed that everyone was wearing a black T-shirt on a non-casual day. "They even had one for me. My T-shirt, which said `I'm Ed' was hanging over my chair," said Daley. "It was pretty funny and quite a bit embarrassing but appreciated. To say the least I have a great staff."
