ONTARIO, Calif. – CO-OP Network, the largest credit union-owned, surcharge free ATM network in the U.S., donated $300,000 to the Children's Miracle Network in 2003, the CO-OP said. The donation to CMN reflected 75% of the Network's total $400,000 the CO-OP members donated. The majority of CO-OP Network's 2003 CMN contribution is based on a Network ATM transaction donation program, with a set amount donated to CMN for every completed cardholder transaction, the CO-OP said. "With a credit union membership spanning the country, we try to make as large a charitable impact as possible in communities across the U.S.," said CO-OP Network CEO Robert Rose. "Children's Miracle Network has a proven track-record of providing essential funding and resources to help treat more than 17 million children each year. Their effectiveness in serving a nationwide community of children's hospitals makes CMN an ideal fit for our organization and has led to our full-fledged support over the last decade." In addition to the CMN donation, CO-OP Network sponsored a number of other charitable events in 2003, including the San Diego Blues Festival benefiting the San Diego Center for Children, and a golf tournament.
