BETHPAGE, N.Y. – Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Open Solutions Inc. recently spent a three-day weekend completing the $1.75 billion CU's conversion to the OSI processing platform. Bethpage last year had announced its selection of OSI's The Complete Credit Union Solution platform for its retail transaction, consumer loan serving and integration strategies, and also expects it to help the CU expand its business-lending capabilities, says Wayne Grosse, Bethpage FCU executive vice president. The Bethpage signing was among the big CUs landed by OSI and its open, relational-database platform as the Connecticut-based firm gained momentum in the credit union space. Others included $4.4 billion Boeing Employees CU and $1.7 billion Addison Avenue FCU. The three-day conversion process completed the changeover from a legacy transaction system that had been in place for six years, Bethpage FCU and OSI say. Bethpage FCU had been an AFTECH client, according to the 2003 Credit Union Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
