ST. LOUIS – The Pete Crear Scholarship application is up and ready for download on the African American Credit Union Coalition's web site. Launched last October by the AACUC, three $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to recipients at the Coalition's annual meeting in Atlanta on Aug. 14. Crear, CUNA & Affiliates executive vice president of external relations, has served in the industry since 1964 including at the Michigan Credit Union League and as president of the Indiana and Connecticut State Leagues. Those eligible to apply are professional or volunteers who are members with up-to-date paid membership and in good standing of AACUC; members of a credit union that join the AACUC at the "credit union" dues level; interns participating in the AACUC's Reaching Toward to the Future Intern Program or any junior or senior enrolled in an accredited college or university.
