WARREN, Ohio – Residents in five townships here are now eligible to join Seven Seventeen Credit Union. The $523 million credit union recently got approval from the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions to expand its field of membership. The credit union can now offer services to residents in Canton, Jackson, Lake, Nimishillen, and Plain townships here, said Gary Soukenik, president/CEO. With 75,000 members, Seven Seventeen CU is the third largest in the state. Chartered in 1957, the credit union originally served members of I.U.E. Local 717 at the Packard Electric Division of General Motors, now Delphi Automotive Systems.
