WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Credit unions are tapping into the Superbowl Sunday hype to raise money for a good cause. The Maryland Credit Union League has sponsored its first Superbowl campaign to help raise money for Credit Union for Kids. Credit unions sell the CUFK footballs for to members or staffers for $1 to be placed on display throughout the branch. All collected funds benefit the Children's Miracle Network. Saugus Federal Credit Union wants to help members celebrate a New England Patriots victory by raffling off four tailgate party packages complete with enough food to serve 10. A $5 fee is required to enter the raffle and all proceeds will go to CMN. New members who join the credit union this week can also have their names entered for free. The lucky winners will be announced this Friday. SFCU staffers started sporting their Patriots jerseys mid-week before the Superbowl to help promote the raffle and support their team.
