MADISON, Wis. – Due to its move into China, CUNA Mutual Group has announced some leadership changes. Lon Sprecher, formerly SVP of the company’s International Division will succeed Jim Greaney as chief officer of the Credit Union Protection and Employee Solution Groups. Greaney will become general manager of China Operations in CUNA Mutual’s International Division. Greaney is going to play a key role in China. He and his wife will be moving to China so Greaney can run the operation. Ralph Swoboda, formerly senior vice president, Pacific/Asia Operations, will be in charge of the International Division. Swoboda was a major player in helping CUNA Mutual expand to China. Swoboda said CUNA Mutual is planning on hiring about 15 or 16 Chinese nationals to work at its operation in China, and will also need to hire some Chinese speaking professionals to work at its Madison, Wis. headquarters.
