During the four-minute segment, nearly three-quarters of the state heard about the efforts of Maine's credit unions to collect phone cards and/or cash for troops and their families through Operation Phone Home 2004. Witt praised the program as "something everyone could relate to and was easy to get behind. I applaud credit unions for wanting to help and for doing something that makes a difference."
