ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA Vice Chair JoAnn Johnson was slated to speak at the Supervisory and Audit Committee Conference, sponsored by CUNA's Center for Professional Development, Thursday, Dec. 4, at Bally's in Las Vegas. Johnson planned to talk about supervisory and audit issues affecting credit unions and focus on the crucial part these functions play in the safety and soundness of credit unions. "In a credit union, safety and soundness is the paramount role of the supervisory and audit committee and in the future, these committees will continue to play an even greater role in strengthening America's credit unions," Johnson remarked.
