REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Provident Credit Union has selected Holyoke, Massachusetts-based turnkey insurance provider Banc Insurance Service Inc. to help its CUSO Provident Service Corporation offer members a fully operational insurance agency within months. The move is part of BIS' strategic "western expansion" plan and establishes the company's coast-to-coast presence. Under the arrangement, Provident Service Corporation members will have access to a full array of insurance products and services from national carriers. The CUSO will own the member policies and member renewals while BIS manages the business and operational risk.
