Unity One Federal Credit Union, Fort Worth, Texas, has hosted a Meet Max-A-Million Day to kick off its new safari themed youth program. Max-A-Million is the Savings Safari Club zebra mascot for kids age 12 and under. Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, Duluth, credit unions in Atlanta participated in the first ever Children's Miracle Network Radiothon. The three-day event raised $1,146,372 for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, a non-profit hospital. Credit unions represented included 1st Choice FCU, CDC FCU, Delta Employees CU, Georgia FCU, Human Services Employees CU, Phenix FCU, and Pinnacle CU. Employees from GCUA also helped answer phones and take pledges. Allied Credit Union, Stockton, Calif. has taken its 50th Anniversary celebration to its members. Since people involved in transportation founded the credit union, the festivities hit the road and stops will be made in all areas the credit union serves throughout the month of November.
