RALEIGH, N.C. - GE Mortgage Insurance contributed $100,000 toThe North Carolina Central University Foundation to help create TheCenter for the Study of Real Estate Finance at the university, thefirst public liberal arts institution in the U.S. founded forAfrican Americans The new facility will assist in educating diversepopulations about home ownership and financial opportunities, andpromote research on issues relating to minority home ownership. TheCenter, which is scheduled to open in 2004, will also study thefeasibility of offering undergraduate and graduate degree programsin Real Estate Mortgage Finance and Insurance.
