DOVER, N.J. -Dover NJ Spanish American Federal Credit Union members can now join others in calling one of their own-CEO Javier Marin- mayor of Dover. Running on a platform that focused on strengthening the lines of communication between the community and elected officials in addition to building partnerships with local businesses, Marin beat out Democrat incumbent Richard Newman. Marin has served on the Dover school board and board of health. In addition, he has been active with the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs, Dover Area Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Morris County. The credit union has $17 million in assets and serves 6,386 members.
