This chart shows the total percentage of mortgages that will be closed online this year through 2005 as estimated by Celent Communications. While truly paperless mortgages remain "a distant vision," according to a recent report from the research and advisory firm, the marketplace is demanding greater efficiencies and better customer service, including increased automation, all of which will help drive growing use and technology in the online channel for mortgage origination.
