LENEXA, Kan. – U.S. Central Credit Union President/CEO Dan Kampen traveled to Ukraine recently to help raise money to aid needy children there. "The needs in this part of the world are so great, and the impact our group had over there was so huge," said Kampen. "I know our efforts really made a difference to the lives of more than 2,000 children." Kampen and 15 members from his church, Lenexa Christian Center, traveled to Kiev, Ukraine for Reach The Children – a non-profit foundation dedicated to helping children around the world. Kampen and his group delivered medical and school supplies to orphanages, hospitals and schools. Kampen called on his friends and colleagues from throughout the credit union community to help raise money for the effort. He was able to raise $82,700 to help purchase needed supplies. Many donations came from several of U.S. Central's member corporate credit unions, credit union trade associations and U.S. Central's vendors.
