Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union, Tenn., Vice President of Human Resources Judy Bell has been named Woman of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Bell was recognized for her fundraising efforts. Proceeds raised were used to fund research and such community services as family support groups and financial assistance. Kitsap Credit Union, Bremerton, Wash., has named Kenny Maple Employee of the Quarter. A member of the Information Technology team, Maple was recognized for his consistently high level of customer support while having an upbeat attitude and willingness to take on any job. Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, has been recognized as the Base Credit Union of the Year within Air Education Training Command (AETC). AETC is comprised of 13 Air Force Bases. Randolph-Brooks FCU was singled out for its outstanding service and contributions as a member of the base team. Oregon Metro Federal Credit Union, Eugene, has been honored by Doernbecher Children's Hospital and the Credit Union Association of Oregon for an outstanding 2002 campaign. Oregon Metro members raised over $9,000 for the Credit Unions for Kids campaign benefiting Doernbecher and the pediatric units of Sacred Heart Hospital and Rogue Valley Medical Center.
