PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona State Savings & Credit Union has teamed up with PacifiCare Health Systems, Inc. to offer individual PPO health plans to university students attending the University of Arizona, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. Designed exclusively for students, the new Arizona Student Choice plans offer affordable coverage for basic health care needs, access to an expanded network of physicians and specialists, pharmacy benefits and include such perks as fitness- and weight-management programs. Students can remain with the plan after graduation. “PacifiCare shares our commitment to offer university students more affordable health insurance,” said Garth Griese, president/CEO of Arizona State Savings & CU. “The financial health of our members both today and in the future is our most important priority at the credit union.” The Arizona Student Choice plan will be offered through the credit union’s subsidiary, Arizona Financial Network, LLC and marks the first-of-its-kind partnership.
