PARKERSBURG, W. Va. – The West Virginia Credit Union League has formed an alliance with GMAC Mortgage Corp. that designates the residential mortgage originator and servicer as the preferred mortgage provider to credit unions in the state and their members. Under the agreement, GMAC Mortgage based in Horsham, Pa. will be the endorsed mortgage services provider to WVCUL, through its League Services Corp. The League's field consultants will promote GMAC's mortgage services to CUs. Any credit union that establishes a mortgage relationship with GMAC Mortgage will work directly with the company in assisting members with home financing. GMAC will also not sell other products to League members, nor will it sell members' loans to other mortgage companies for the life of the loan. There are 125 credit unions affiliated with the West Virginia Credit Union League, representing more than 360,000 members.
