GREENSBORO, N.C.-Treasury's Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions Wayne Abernathy traveled to Latino Community Credit Union last week. Last Monday morning, Abernathy made unscripted remarks at the credit union's opening of its fourth branch. Congressman Howard Coble (R-N.C.) also made an appearance. According to NCUA data, Latino Community Credit Union has nearly 12,000 members and $13.3 million in assets.
