Pacific NW Federal Credit Union, Bellingham, Wash., has awarded two $750 college scholarships to Aaron Drais and Ernest Esres. Students were selected based on academic achievement, community involvement and responses to the essay question "Why Credit Unions are an Important Consumer Choice". Caltech Employees Federal Credit Union, La Canada Flintridge, Calif., has awarded scholarship to five lucky students. Elizabeth Gilliam, Peter Kwok, Amber Markley, Michelle Rengarjan, and Michael Winters were each awarded $500. Awards were based on acceptance to a university of choice for the fall session, a strong GPA, community involvement, awards and achievements, extracurricular activities and an essay. Affinity Federal Credit Union, Basking Ridge, N.J., has awarded $15,000 in scholarships to nine graduating high school seniors who will be entering freshmen at a college or university this fall. The recipients were selected based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, community service and essay composition.
