HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – Baseball legend and New York Yankees manager Joe Torre will kick-off the New Jersey Credit Union League's Annual Meeting & Convention in November. The theme of the two-day meeting and convention, Nov. 21-22 at the Bally's Hotel in Atlantic City, will be "Celebrating You" recognizing credit unions in New Jersey and the entire credit union movement. Torre was named as manager of the Yankees in November 1995. In 1996 he led the team to their first World Championship Series since 1978, and he has led the team to three more World Series championships. In his 17-year career in the Major League, Torre played for Milwaukee, Atlanta, St. Louis and the Mets. He was a nine-time All Star, and in 1971 he was the National League MVP as a member of the Cardinals.
