MARKS, Miss. – The Quitman/Tri-County Federal Credit Union, a $6 million community development credit union based in the Mississippi delta region, will administer two grants worth a total of $150,000 to help low-income residents in the area meet their housing needs. The Federal Home Loan Bank in Dallas provided the grants, $100,000 for rehabilitation of 10 single-families homes for very low-income homebuyers and $50,000 for down payment assistance for five very low- and moderate-income families in the area. The FHLB Dallas granted almost $1 million for use by 10 rural projects in Mississippi. There were no other credit unions named as grant administrators.
