GREENSBORO N.C. – The $2 billion First Carolina Corporate Credit Union raised $25,000 at its First Annual Charity Golf Classic on Sunday, June 22 at the Little River Golf Club in Pinehurst, N.C. Money was raised through sponsorship from First Carolina’s credit union members and business partners. The money was raised for The Victory Junction Gang Camp founded by Pattie and Kyle Petty (see related news brief on page 12). The mission of the camp, located in Randleman, North Carolina, is to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses by creating camping experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. The camp is solely supported by generous contributions and donations from corporations, individuals, and foundations.
