MOORPARK, Calif. – Credit union data processor XP Systems has a new leader, but he's certainly not new to XP's clients. XP Systems, a Fiserv subsidiary and the processor for 300 credit unions, has named John Edwards, previously SVP of Business Development for XP, as the company's new president. Edwards, who has been with XP since 1966, is very well known among XP clients, having met with just about every XP client over the years. Prior to this appointment, Roger Kuhns, the former longtime CEO of CUSA Technologies and the current president of Fiserv's Western Credit Union Division, was serving as XP's interim president. Kuhns stepped in for Bill Anderson, who resigned as XP's President in May to pursue other interests. Back in May when Kuhns was named interim president, he told Credit Union Times that a new CEO would be named in 30 to 60 days – they met that deadline. This news came in at press time, and no one was available for comment. Credit Union Times will follow up with a complete story in the July 16 issue.
