OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – There's gold at FAA Employees Credit Union! The modern day gold rush is part of the FAA ECU's new Member Round-up campaign. "We have some great members and we appreciate their vote of confidence whenever they refer new members so this campaign is just another way for us to say thanks for those referrals and for allowing us to serve our members for over 55 years," says Julie Gamblin, campaign chairperson. "The Gold Rush theme makes the recognition a little unique because members making referrals get to pan for `gold,' win prizes, and hopefully have a little fun along the way." The campaign works like this: each of the credit union's three offices houses a display based on a gold mining operation straight out of the 1800s. When an existing member refers a person who subsequently joins the credit union and signs up for a loan or a service such as free checking, the referring member wins an invitation to visit one of the displays and pan for "gold." Nuggets, which are always found can then be exchanged for a special gift.
