WASHINGTON-CUNA member credit unions have through June 20 to deliver their nominations for individuals to serve in one of the eight seats up for election on the CUNA Board. Seats that are up for election include: * District 1 (Northeast), Class C (at least 56,000 members); Patrick Calhoun, CEO of State Employees Federal Credit Union (N.Y.), currently holds this seat. * District 2 (Mideast), Class A (up to 14,999 members); B&W Federal Credit Union (Ky.) CEO Jim Oliva represents this group now. * District 3 (Southeast), Class B (between 15,000 and 55,999 members); The Credit Union of Palm Beach County CEO John Deese occupies this seat. * District 4 (Midwest), Class C; Current Board Member Darrell Pierce, former CEO of Collins Community Credit Union in Iowa, is not eligible for reelection because he is no longer an employee or voting board member of the credit union. * District 5 (Plains and Rockies); Texas Credit Union League CEO Dick Ensweiler is eligible for reelection, but Oklahoma Health Services Federal Credit Union CEO Jim Williams (Class B) is not eligible for the seat because his credit union outgrew the class size. * District 6 (West and Pacific); Oregon Credit Union League CEO Gene Poitras and Community Credit Union (Wash.) CEO Don Larsen’s (Class A) seats are also up for election. Unless otherwise noted, the current board members are eligible for reelection, but no official decision on whether to run again have been made yet by those individuals, according to CUNA. Ballots will go out June 25 and members can vote through August 6. The winners will be seated at the Annual General Meeting to take place during the Future Forum Sept. 29-Oct. 2 in Reno, Nev.
