TALLAHASSEE, Fla. and NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – FCUL Service Corp. and CUcorp, the service organizations of the Florida and Michigan credit union leagues, respectively, have signed an agreement with John M. Floyd & Associates naming the Houston, Texas-based firm as their preferred business partner for their CUSO's overdraft privilege program. The Florida League has 240 affiliate members serving about 3.9 million members in the state, and the Michigan League has 300 affiliate members that serve about four million consumers in Michigan. "The public is demanding value-added services like overdraft privilege," said JMFA CEO John Floyd. "This discreet member service lets members avoid the humiliation of `making good' on a check with a value retailer. Neither the customer nor the merchant loses time or productivity in straightening out a non-sufficient funds mess, and members don't wind up on a merchant's bad check lists." The Texas, New Jersey and New Mexico leagues have also designated Floyd & Associates as their preferred overdraft privilege partner.
