PADUCAH, Ky. – Computer Services, Inc., a large bank processor, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ATTUS Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of technology-based compliance solutions for banks, credit unions, insurance companies and securities firms. The acquisition is expected to close by May 30, 2003. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. “The demand for compliance solutions has accelerated since 9/11 as the federal government has increased the requirements for banks, credit unions, insurance companies and securities firms to review customer accounts and transactions to comply with regulations from the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the latest changes in the recently passed USA Patriot Act,” said CSI President and CEO Steven A. Powless ATTUS provides compliance solutions to approximately 2,000 customers in the financial services industry.
