LOS ANGELES – First City Credit Union has joined a growing number of credit unions stepping up to the minor league baseball plate. As part of its promotional efforts in the north Los Angeles County high desert area of Antelope Valley, the $293 million credit union has signed on as sponsors of the Lancaster Jethawks a minor league professional baseball club. Designed to promote eligibility awareness, the sponsorship includes advertising on all Jethawks game broadcasts a total of 140 home and away games, an outfield billboard in the 4,000-seat stadium, and the right to set up a First City booth at five home games during the season. The Lancaster Jethawks baseball club is a California League affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks National Baseball League franchise.
