Xerox Federal Credit Union, El Segundo, Calif., has donated free civic videotapes to all public and private high schools, community and junior colleges, community access stations, and some of the area chambers of commerce and public libraries in the 36th Congressional District of California. The videotape, entitled "WE THE PEOPLE…The U.S. Constitution and You," is narrated by Caroline Kennedy and features appearances by Representative Jane Harman and Bill Cheney, president/CEO of Xerox FCU. Tropical Financial Credit Union, Miami, Fla., has raised a total of $2,069 for Care Resource during the 2003 Aids Walk Miami. The amount placed Tropical Financial CU in the top 10 fundraisers and the credit union gained special recognition during the pre-walk announcements. Municipal Employees Credit Union of Baltimore, Inc., Md., staffers have donated their time to answer phones for the Maryland Public Television on-air pledge drive. This year the station received over $1 million in on-air pledges. Plans are underway to participate next year to see if a new record can be broken. Educational Employees Credit Union, Fresno, Calif., has donated $5,000 to sponsor cancer education booths at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in May.
