Virginia's First CU Mall Opens

RICHMOND, Va. -Call Federal Credit Union, Connects Federal Credit Union and Richmond Federal Credit Union have made history by opening the state’s first “Credit Union Mall”. When Call FCU outgrew its Hull Street branch, the board and management decided that if a new branch was to be built then it should have space for two smaller credit unions that may not otherwise have been able to build their own branch. Similar to a mall, the three credit unions share the same building but have their own lobbies that branch off a common entranceway. With different field of memberships competition is not an issue while the credit unions share the expense of just one building. An official grand open celebration is slated for June 7.
