Truliant Federal Credit Union, Winston-Salem, N.C., call center representatives recently worked on building team spirit by donating their time to bring cheer to the elderly. Calling themselves " April's Angels" staffers visited with residents of Vienna Village Retirement Community for an afternoon of bingo complete with prizes from the credit union. The group's outing to the retirement community is part of a series of activities that many Truliant FCU call center employees have undertaken to build teamwork and unity. Earthmover Credit Union, Oswego, Ill., recently invited its young members, along with their family and friends, to celebrate Easter with ECU employees, Dewey the Din-O-Saver, and the Easter Bunny. Over 130 kids enjoyed Easter themed games, cookies and punch, special prizes, and pictures with Dewey and the Easter Bunny. Navy Federal Credit Union, Vienna, Va., has hosted its own annual " Kids Day", and opened its doors to more than 230 children, ages nine to 17, who joined their parents at work. Kids Day' is just one of the many programs Navy Federal offers to help create a family-friendly work environment. Steel Works Community Federal Credit Union, Weirton, W. Va., employees have donated their time and expertise to the local Brownie Troop #3157. The girls toured credit union headquarters and learned about the daily operations of credit unions.
