MATTHEWS, N.C. – Truliant Federal Credit Union has kicked off the grand opening celebration of a new state-of-the-art branch here. The “high-tech, high-touch” facility features services that include VideoLink, a live, video teleconference where members can quickly apply for a loan and talk with a loan officer at the credit union’s office in Winston-Salem. Loan officers can process applications on the spot and members in the Matthews branch will receive printed documents immediately. In addition, there are informational video screens placed throughout the branch that display product and service information, along with current financial news. Kids even get their own private section complete with video monitors and pint-sized tables and chairs. For the older crowd, the credit union offers a coffee bar and a video feed of news and cable programming. “Our new, completely renovated facility offers truly unique and innovative services for our members,” said Chad Frye, TFCU regional director of branch operations. “Response to these advanced, personalized services in other Truliant branches has been overwhelming.” Truliant FCU was founded in 1952 by a group of Western Electric employees and has over $800 million in assets.
