BREA, Cailf. – Evangelical Christian Credit Union is doing its part in helping churches and ministries grow. Recently over 100 pastors and ministry leaders from Southern California attended the $1 billion credit union's first church development workshop. Dr. Stephen A. Macchia, president of Vision New England, presented "The Healthy Church: A Ministry Assessment Workshop" highlighting the 10 key characteristics of a health church. "We hope that churches and ministries look to us for more than just funding a loan, or providing a safe place for a ministry's funds. It's our desire to assist churches in reaching their vision for spreading the Gospel in their communities. We want to deliver value to churches and ministries beyond financial products and services," said ECCU Executive Vice President Mark Johnson. Plans are underway to offer additional seminars and workshops regarding areas of church health, stewardship, and growth.
