HARRISBURG, Pa. – After doing business for the past 69 years since its founding in 1934 as the Pennsylvania Credit Union League, the organization is doing business starting April 24 as the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA). The new name and logo will be officially unveiled on the opening day of PCUA's 69th Annual Convention & Expo, April 24-26 in Philadelphia. Along with the new name, PCUA also has a new Web site address – www.pcua.coop. Since credit unions are becoming more visible and respected within their communities, our name change will help better identify what the organization is to legislators, media, and the general public, said PCUA President/CEO Jim McCormack.
