SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Digital Defense has grown to the point where it needs a consistent marketing voice, said the company. To do that it has hired the company's first-ever marketing director. The network security service provider to more than 100 clients in 43 states, including a number of credit unions, has named Meg Barker to work with marketing communications, public relations, advertising, new product marketing requirements and client training. "Digital Defense has grown dramatically through client referrals and leveraging existing relationships in the marketplace," said Joseph Cooper, the company's CEO. "It is critical that we have a focal point in the organization to ensure consistent messaging. From press requests to our federal regulatory relationships, Ms. Barker's experience and energy are perfectly suited to drive Digital Defense through this next level," he said. Barker is a former vice president of marketing for WidgetFinder Inc., an Austin-based online procurement service, and most recently was an independent marketing consultant for the San Antonio Symphony and Turillion Software Inc.
