MADISON, Wis. – UW Credit Union just upgraded its online banking and billpay services to Corillian Voyager 3.0. Nothing too unusual about that, except the $650 million CU did most of the heavy lifting itself. Using the resources of CorillianDevNet, the Oregon-based vendor's developer network program, UWCU's Internet team did much of the upgrade and customized the interface on its own. "We have always prided ourselves on being self-sufficient when it comes to technology," said Eric Bangerter, director of Internet services at UWCU. "We definitely couldn't do it all on our own, but the open architecture and the Corillian DevNet program allowed us to implement the enhancements ourselves with Corillian helping us when we had questions or ideas to bounce off of them." The Corillian program provides access to documentation, developer and migration guides and tools, case studies, base code, sample code and best practices. "The success of UWCU's team in leveraging the flexibility and openness of Corillian Voyager to perform the upgrade to Corillian Voyager 3.0 is a model for how our customers are optimizing the interoperability of the Corillian Voyager platform," said Bill Hughes, executive vice president of operations at Corillian.
