DENVER – SunCorp has eclipsed the $3 billion in assets mark and has added a corporate CU network veteran to its ranks. SunCorp’s assets have been bolstered by two major acquisitions in the last few years – first Rocky Mountain Corporate and then later Nebraska Corporate Central. It now serves 540 credit unions and 50 CUSOs in what it terms the Great Plains and Rocky Mountain regions. In other SunCorp news, Kevin Abbott has been named as VP of Business Development for the corporate. Abbott is a former VP of sales at Experion Systems (where First Tech CU CEO Tom Sargent was recently named as a board member), and past VP of sales for Corporate Network eCom, a U.S. Central subsidiary. He also served as VP of marketing and member services for U.S. Central.
