VERNON HILLS, Ill. – Baxter Credit Union launched its Spanish Web site, including an online banking service for the credit union's Spanish-speaking members. The new Web site gives these members the ability to apply for a credit card, find out about special offers and information on products and services from the CU. In addition, using the online banking services, the members can review account balances, transfer funds and make loan payments. The initiative "will provide a higher level of quality service and further strengthen the credit union's relationship with its membership of more than 20,000 Spanish-speaking members," a credit union release stated. BCU already has a bilingual call center, Spanish applications, bilingual ATMs, and participates in the World Council of Credit Union's IRnet money wire transfer service for wires sent to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the Philippines. Baxter serves a total of more than 104,000 members throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
