As the war rages on in Iraq, Americans find themselves bombarded with a 24 hour blow-by-blow account of the events from embedded journalists. In this issue Credit Union Times focuses on any potential credit union angles of the war in Iraq, and there are some. For example, how are employees who have been called to duty handled in terms of benefits and salary? While much of this is dictated by law, some credit unions and credit union vendors are going above what's required. On another front, credit unions with a large contingent of military members are offering them special loans and rates to help them and their families. Look for these and other war-related stories throughout the issue with a concentration on pages 4,6,10 and 11.
