MEDFORD, N.Y. – Students at the Michael J. Grant campus of Suffolk County Community College can enjoy their new CyberLounge thanks to Suffolk Federal Credit Union. The 300 square-foot facility, incorporated into a new student lounge, includes a bank of six computer terminals offering free high-speed Internet access, and a color laser printer for downloading research, graphics, and Web pages. The facility is available free to students, faculty and administrators. The CyberLounge also serves as a hands-on lab for research, internships, experience, and practical training for the business education curriculum. In addition to the CyberLounge, Suffolk FCU is currently in talks with SCCC to develop an educational forum on financial literacy for students that will be part of freshman orientation.
