BROCKTON, Mass. – Jim Blake, president/CEO of Brockton CU here was nominated by CUNA to serve on the board of the Banking Industry Technology Secretariat (BITS). Blake also serves on several community and financial industry committees and boards, and he is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Credit Union League. BITS was created in 1996 to support the growth and development of electronic financial services and e-commerce for the benefit of financial institutions and their members and customers. Some of the major areas BITS focuses on are security, privacy, standards, leveraging industry infrastructure, and e-commerce market development. Along with representatives from CUNA, the BITS Board includes representatives from the American Bankers Association, the Independent Community Bankers of America, and others from some of the largest U.S. financial services holding companies.
