MADISON, Wis. – The National Credit Union Foundation is looking for a few good Development Educators. Registration is now open for the Credit Union Development Education Program 2003 training session. By focusing on credit union uniqueness and social responsibility, the six-day program strives to bring renewed relevance to the "people helping people" slogan. In order to qualify for the program, individuals must: *Be an employee or volunteer of an organization affiliated with CUNA or in the case of international participants, an association affiliated with the World Council of Credit Unions; *Receive employer and league endorsement; and *Be willing to devote a reasonable amount of work and personal time for development-related volunteer activities of their choosing. Upon completion, participants become Development Educators, committing both volunteer and professional time to take the credit union message throughout the country. Program graduates are also expected to complete at least one volunteer project of their choosing.
